About the KAL
The Staple Tank KAL is a guided knit-along where we work through the Staple Tank pattern together, from cast on to finished object.
Instead of knitting solo, you'll have a clear weekly structure, a community of knitters working alongside you, and everything you need to stay on track — week by week, section by section.

What You’ll Learn

Experienced knitters can take this pattern and run with their own customizations.

Over the course of the KAL, we'll touch on everything from cast-on to finishing. By the end, you'll have a made-to-measure tank in your own yarn, your own gauge, on your own body.

Sign up and you're in. Every week you'll get an email with your homework and resources, access to the KAL Discord, and all the support you need to finish your tank.
The first two pre-KAL livestreams are open to everyone.

A KAL is a fun, community-based event where makers knit the same project together, sharing progress, tips, and encouragement along the way.
How long does the KAL run?
The KAL runs for 8 weeks, from May 4 through June 15. Each week focuses on a specific section of the pattern, so you always know exactly what to work on next.
Do I need the Staple Tank pattern to join?
Yes! You'll need the Staple Tank pattern to participate. You can grab it here if you don't have it yet.
Is the KAL really free?
Yes, joining is completely free!!
The community, weekly emails, and Discord access are all included at no cost.
What do you get with the Studio Pass?
The Studio Pass is an optional upgrades that grants you access to 5 exclusive workshop livestreams and an private Studio Pass Holder channel in the Discord.
Do I need to be an experienced knitter?
Not at all. The Staple Tank KAL is great for knitters who've completed some smaller projects and are ready to try their first garment.
It's also equally fun for more experienced knitters who want community, accountability, and a customizable project.
What yarn should I use?
The Staple Tank works in any yarn at any gauge. The pattern calculates everything for you based on your actual swatch.
Fingering and DK weights work especially well.
Go with a cotton or plant-based fiber for a more garment with more weight and drape, or a wool-based fiber for a lighter, springier, and more fitted top.
What if I'm not finished by June 15th?
Keep going at your own pace.
The pattern isn't going anywhere, and neither is the community.
You won't be eligible for the grand prize FO raffle, but you're still part of the KAL and still get all the recordings and support.
